Good review!!

Through the existence of ghouls and the theme of coexistence, the anime delves deep into issues such as humanity, discrimination, and cohabitation.
For example, the conflicts and coexistence between ghouls and humans allow for exploration of characters' inner conflicts and values, while also addressing societal issues.
The inner conflict of the protagonist, Kaneki Ken, torn between his human and ghoul sides, is realistically and deeply portrayed.
For instance, scenes where Kaneki struggles between his human and ghoul identity are emotionally engaging, drawing viewers into the story.

Bad reviews summary

Bad reviews!!

There are some differences in the story and character development compared to the original manga. For example, certain character dialogues and emotional depth from the manga might be omitted or altered in the anime adaptation.
Inconsistencies in animation quality in certain episodes or scenes can detract from the viewing experience.
For example, rough animation in action scenes or important moments can detract from the immersion and impact of the story.
When a manga is adapted into an anime, there's a possibility that the quality may decrease due to time and budget constraints, or that it may diverge from the original story.

Unfortunately for Tokyo Ghoul, Season 2 adds anime originals, and when it comes to Tokyo Ghoul re, the story changes 180 degrees, so it seems that many fans can't keep up with it. Therefore, if you have watched the anime, I recommend that you also read the original manga!!

Are there erotic scenes? No, just watch it with your family and enjoy it.

I gave it an overall rating of 4.2 based on the anime and the original manga. As other fans have said, the anime has diverged from the original manga, and I thought the story contained inconsistencies and extra anime originals. However, the choice of theme songs for the anime matches the anime throughout the seasons, and the story is well-written enough to make me think about it myself. Tokyo Ghoul is definitely an anime that is worth watching!!

Tokyo Ghoul Anime Story & Character

Story

(Quote : Tokyo Ghoul Anime)

In the world of Tokyo Ghoul, there are two types of humans: one type is normal humans like us, and the other type is Ghouls, who cannot survive without eating humans. They are natural enemies of each other, and the humans have the upper hand, forcing Ghoul to live quietly in the shadows.

Ken Kaneki is the main character of Tokyo Ghoul and was originally a human. He was an ordinary college student who lived a life that had nothing to do with Ghoul, and thought that there was no way he would be attacked by Ghoul. However, Kaneki has an accident with a ghoul and undergoes an organ transplant surgery, but the organ is Ghoul's, and Kaneki becomes half human and half Ghoul.

Since Kaneki became a Ghoul, he can no longer eat human food. At the restaurants he eats, the meat tastes like rotten innards, the cheese tastes like oily clay, and the bread tastes moldy. Yes, Ghoul finds human food unpleasant, and if it doesn't eat for a while, it will feel the urge to eat humans. The only thing that tasted good at Ghoul's Kaneki was the coffee. After discovering that he can drink coffee, Kaneki finds Anteiku, a coffee shop where Ghouls gather, and learns "the Ghoul way of life" from a veteran Ghoul there.

As Kaneki lives with the Ghoul, he realizes that the Ghoul also suffers, and Kaneki, who is half human and half Ghoul, decides to coexist with the two, but it is a difficult journey. . .

The painful singing style at the beginning of the Season 1 OP song feels like it expresses Ken Kaneki's conflict.

Rize is a very ferocious Ghoul whose nickname is "Gluttony". Even though she eats humans, her hunger is not satisfied. Even though Ghouls have set rules within their group to prevent humans from finding out, she continues to eat humans, making her a nuisance to both other Ghouls and humans.

She approaches Ken Kaneki to eat him, but gets into an accident with him and dies. At that time, Ken Kaneki was saved by Rize's organs, and Ken Kaneki was transplanted with Rize's organs and became half human and half Ghoul. Tokyo Ghoul Manga Volume

  • Tokyo Ghoul Volume 1~14
  • Tokyo Ghoul re Volume 1~16

There are two original mangas for Tokyo Ghoul, and Tokyo Ghoul is the story of Kaneki becoming a Ghoul until he is defeated by the strongest Ghoul investigator named Arima. Tokyo Ghoul re is the story of Kaneki, who was defeated by Arima and lost all his memories, and becomes a CCG Ghoul investigator.

The story changes drastically between Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul re, so some people might not be able to keep up with it, but it's worth reading until the end.

Especially in Tokyo Ghoul re, there are so many new characters that many people stop reading there.
